Our Aims
The Café Project’s Board of Trustees is committed to offering supported employment opportunities through our innovative Stepping Stone Programme. This programme provides comprehensive training and practical experience, creating a clear pathway towards mainstream employment. Our ultimate goal is to empower individuals, helping them transition smoothly and confidently into the workforce.
Our Objectives
Develop Training Facilities
Establish supported training facilities to create opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
Tailored Stepping Stone Training
Provide customized training and employment experiences to meet individual needs, preparing individuals for mainstream employment or offering “day opportunities” for those whose vulnerabilities might preclude them from mainstream roles.
Employer Engagement
Identify potential employers, advocate for the skills of people with learning disabilities, and provide transitional support to place them in either paid or voluntary employment.
Fundraising Activities
Engage the community in fundraising activities to support the financial needs of The Café Project.
Empowerment and Awareness
Empower people with learning disabilities to help themselves and raise awareness of the challenges they face.
